The SBGf International Congress and Exposition is already established as one of the major geosciences events for the business and professional communities around the world. Confirmed in Rio de Janeiro for 2017, more than 450 papers and over 2000 delegates are expected for this important technical and commercial event. Rio has received massive investments in infrastructure, with several improvements in mobility, room availability and international connections following the 2016 Olympic games. Although impacted by the down turn in the economic scenario and resetting its business environment after the political transition, Brazil is proving to have a strong economy with signs of improvement emerging in industrial production, while business confidence continues to improve.

The Exposition area in the Sul America Convention Center has kept the largest floor space ever available, with booths ranging from 9 sqm to 72 sqm, and plenty of combinations that allow for an extremely comfortable visitor space.
