O Programa de Marés Terrestres da UFPR: sua Importância Geodésica
Abstract
The graduate Program on Geodesy of the "Universidade Federal do Paraná", in the frame of a Cooperative agreement with the "Observatoire Royal de Belgique" and the University of Bonn, is developing earth tide studies on a national scale. A permanent station (fundamental station) was installed in Curitiba with two instruments: a LCR transformed into a zero method gravimeter (feedback system) and an Askania GS-11-BN02. Since November 1983 seven temporary tidal gravity stations (Santa Maria, Curitiba, Viçosa, Campo Grande, Cuiabá and Caicó) were installed and have worked successfully during a six months interval each one, using 3 LCR (also equipped with zero method electronics) and a Geodynamics. Three other stations are now running (Manaus, Belém, Salvador), and five new ones are under preparation. Some preliminary results, expressed in the Brussels Tidal System, are presented in this paper as an initial information about the project.
